Being lazy

Right now, Elena is a preschool and Adelaide is napping. I feel lucky that Adelaide's nap schedule is lining up with Elena being at school so I get some time to myself. Last week was her first week of school and it went great; especially considering she didn't want to go after her experience at summer camp. The first day of preschool was orientation where we went together and I think that made all the difference. And on her first day by herself, there were no tears and she told me she had fun and that the teachers are nice.

Elena and I before her first day of school

Last week when Elena was at school and Adelaide was napping, I used that time to clean the house since my parents were coming to visit. Today, I am feeling lazy and using this time to blog. I am also currently taking part in my daily addiction of Coke. And look who likes to steal my Coke and sneak sips.
Speaking of Elena, she has said a few things lately that have left me speechless. I had a neighborhood playgroup at my house (and one of the moms I was meeting for the first time) and Elena announced to everyone that she pooped in the backyard (and of course this is while we are hanging out in the backyard). I had no response to that except to say "I have no idea what she is talking about". And then the secret that she told me later about that incident is hilarious, but I am too embarrassed to write it. She also left me speechless last week at the grocery store. The lady in line behind us was on the very short side, and apparently Elena thinks that all short people are kids because she said "That little girl is doing really good, she is able to stand up all on her own!" Luckily I had just paid so I could get out of there as fast as I could.

And here are just some cute pics
Check out the tiniest piano player

And here is mophead (my Dad's nickname of Adelaide)

Love Adelaide's hair! :)

And speaking of funny/embarrassing things kiddos say... Moana had just finished eating lunch the other day and I asked her if she had a full belly... she said "Yes! And THAT lady has a full belly too!" (Pointing to a rather heavy woman walking by... Nice.)

Mop head is too freaking cute. And I hear you on embarrassing things kids say. Zach gets me in all kinds of trouble. And I say it's not lazy taking advantage of a preschool/nap break - it's a matter of survival!
